María Díaz Ruiz nació en Triana, Sevilla en 1932. Con tan sólo seis años realizaba su primera aparición sobre las tablas y a los diez años bajo las órdenes de Tony Leblanc participaba en la película ‘La cigarra’.
Su carrera como actriz la llevó a compartir la gran pantalla con actores muy destacados de la escena española como Antonio Molina, Lina Morgan, Paz Padilla, Tony Fuentes y Diana Salcedo entre otros.
La artista también será recordada por algunas de sus canciones como ‘Banderita’, ‘Soldadito Españo’l o ‘Si vas a Paría papá’.
